    Audi has revised the RS 5 Coupé (combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 9.1 (25.8 US mpg); combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 208 (334.7 g/mi) and the RS 5 Sportback (combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 9.2 (25.6 US mpg); combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 209 (336.4 g/mi). New details make the exterior design even more progressive. For operation, both models rely on the new MMI touch technology with a large central screen. The twin-turbo V6 with an output of 331 kW (450 PS) and 600 Nm (442.5 lb-ft) of torque (combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 9.2–9.1 (25.6–25.8 US mpg); combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 209–208 (336.4–334.7 g/mi)) continues to ensure an impressive driving performance. In Germany and other European countries, the sale of the revised RS 5 starts shortly; prices start at EUR 83,500.

    Record-breaking figure for Audi in November: Deliveries up 23.1 percent to around 163,350 cars

    AUDI AG delivered around 163,350 cars (+23.1%) to customers worldwide last month, more than ever before in a single month of November. Apart from the strong growth in Europe (+33.0%), which is still due to prior-year effects, record figures in the core regions of North America (+17.3%) and China (+16.8%) contributed to the new record-breaking figure. In turn, the company also exceeded the prior-year cumulative figures for the first time since the start of the year: From January through November the brand with the Four Rings delivered around 1,669,600 premium automobiles (+0.7%).

    Audi increases upfront expenditure for electric mobility

    AUDI AG has planned a total amount of approximately €37 billion for research and development expenditure and investment in property, plant and equipment over the next five years. Against the backdrop of its roadmap towards electrification, the manufacturer is planning upfront expenditure of €12 billion solely for electric mobility – more than ever before. The successful Audi Transformation Plan (ATP) is freeing up the necessary funds: Since the start of the program, the ATP has already contributed €4 billion to earnings.     Audi concludes fundamental agreement with Works Council on economic and forward-looking realignment

    A new era is dawning. Audi is taking sustained action for greater economy, flexibility and secure jobs. The Board of Management and employee representatives have reached a fundamental agreement within the framework of Audi.Zukunft. The decisions relate in particular to the optimization of production capacities at the two German plants and socially responsible workforce adjustments while extending job guarantee up to the end of 2029. The 6 billion euros thus generated will secure the strategic targeted return corridor of 9 to 11 percent and will flow into future projects such as electrification and digitalization. In this way, Audi.Zukunft will sustainably strengthen the competitiveness of the Four Rings and will make the company fit for the coming years. The agreement takes effect on November 29, 2019 and applies for the next ten years.

    Three new members, Dr. Arno Antlitz, Dirk Gro?e-Loheide and Dr. Sabine Maa?en, will join the Board of Management of AUDI AG in 2020. Dr. Arno Antlitz will become the new Chief Financial Officer of AUDI AG on March 1, hereby exchanging his area of responsibility with the current Audi CFO Alexander Seitz, who will become CFO at Volkswagen Cars. Dirk Gro?e-Loheide will be the new Audi Board of Management Member for Procurement and IT as of April 1; he succeeds Dr. Bernd Martens. The new team is to be completed with Dr. Sabine Maa?en, currently CHRO of Thyssenkrupp Steel Europe AG, who will take over Board of Management responsibility for Human Resources at AUDI AG from Wendelin G?bel on April 1.

    SUV Coupé for the e-tron Family: The Audi e-tron Sportback

    “The future is electric:” Audi is staying consistently true to its strategic alignment by presenting the second model in its e-tron product line. The Audi e-tron Sportback is a dynamic SUV coupé offering up to 300 kW of power and a range of up to 446 kilometers (277.1 miles) ( in the WLTP cycle) from a single battery charge (combined electric power consumption in kWh/100 km (62.1 mi): 26.3 - 21.6 (WLTP); 23.9 – 20.6 (NEFZ); combined CO2 emissions in g/km (g/mi): 0). Its digital matrix LED headlights are a new feature now available for the first time in a mass-production vehicle. Their light is broken down into tiny pixels and can be controlled with exceptional precision. This makes safe lane centering easier on narrow stretches of road and shows the position of the vehicle in the lane. The Audi e-tron Sportback** can be ordered as of the end of November. Market introduction in Europe is scheduled for the spring of 2020.

    Markus Duesmann will become the new CEO of Audi on April 1, 2020. The 50-year-old mechanical engineer will succeed Bram Schot, who has held the position since June 2018. Bram Schot, 58, will leave the Group at the end of March by best mutual agreement.
